Sunny Singing On A Rainy Day (Cheeerful Poem 19 )

 Although it is raining

I hear someone singing

A radio echo

Drumming follows - let's go!

Humming to cheerful songs

Singing songs to right wrongs

So I'm not complaining

Of dripping nor raining

Water drops make leaves grow green

Sweetest blooms ever seen

Bright yellow, sugar pink

I think small raindrops wink

Brightest white, warmest red

Like light bulbs fill my head

Sing to sweep cares away

Songs of sun start each day

Hear high voices singing

Like wedding bells ringing

Suddenly, steps are strong

Toss your head, sing along..

My Mask (Cheeerful Poem 18)

Am I prepared?

Now that you ask

I am prepared

I have my mask!

An extra thing

You need to pack

I've one in blue

And one in black

If I were smart

I'd cut a patch

From each shirt hem

To make masks match

And one in white

And one in pink

You may remove

Masks when you drink

I've got photos

So I am wise

Mouths are hidden

Smiles show in eyes

But on a plane

I sleep, I'm blind

My mask is what

I hide behind.

If brave, I'd cut

Two teeny holes

To sneak a look

At others' souls!
